Mass Shooting Survivor Gets Lead Poisoning from Bullets Stuck In Her Body

Survivors of mass shootings may walk away with their lives, but that doesn't mean they aren't victims. Many suffer physical injuries that can be debilitating, as well as psychological injuries like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and survivor's guilt.

But this is truly horrible... I can't imagine what this shooting survivor is going through.

In February 2007, Carolyn Tuft and her daughter were shopping for Valentine's Day cards at Trolley Square Mall in Salt Lake City, Utah when a madman suddenly opened fire in the busy shopping center. Carolyn was hit by three bullets. Five people were brutally murdered, including Carolyn's teen daughter.

Now, 12 years later, Carolyn is suffering from lead poisoning. There are over 300 shotgun pellets, leftover from the tragic day her life changed forever, spread all throughout her body. Doctors are unable to remove the pellets, so there's no cure for her ailment.
