A former Senn High School student has come forward with allegations of sexual abuse against Senn's theater teacher Joel Ewing. She says she decided to come forward because she was upset that Ewing was still teaching, and had continued access to students who he could also abuse.
The former student, who was 14 when she first met Ewing, says the abuse began as text messages of a romantic nature. She says he would message her at all hours of the night. Then he began to grope her while at school. The students alleges that the abuse continued during a class trip, and even at Ewing's home.
Ewing is married with at least one child. According to police, he confessed to the abuse when confronted with the allegations. Ewing was placed on leave in July.
