Friends and family of Elizabeth Boshardy are grieving today. The 29-year-old was killed in the River North neighborhood Tuesday afternoon when a flatbed truck hit her. Boshardy, who friends say was pregnant, was walking on Grand Avenue when she crossed La Salle street. Witnesses say she used the crosswalk and had the right of way. The truck driver says he simply didn't see her when he made a left turn onto La Salle, hitting Boshardy. She was taken to Northwestern Hospital where she later passed away.
Boshardy was a data scientist for Trunk Club, a popular styling company.
