This Toddler Has One of the Most Rare Diseases Ever Reported

JT Borofka is an adorable, happy little toddler who loves to ride in his toy car, play with his dog, hang out on his dad's boat and cuddle his mom! But JT is also a fighter. He's battling an ultra-rare genetic disorder called triosephosphate isomerase deficiency, or TPI. Only about 40 cases have ever been reported worldwide, according to the National Institute of Health. Currently there is no known cure for TPI sufferers like JT. But JT's family is working to raise $1.2 million to help researchers at the Pittsburgh Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases find one! I n the meantime, JT's parents help him live his life to the fullest.
