MSI Announces Name Change After $125 Million Donation

MSI, or the Museum of Science and Industry, is a Chicago treasure! It features some of the coolest exhibits (like the U-505 Submarine) in the city, and is well known for their spectacular Christmas Around the World celebration. But the famed museum made headlines this week when they announced they're getting a new name, shocking Chicagoans.

MSI has been renamed the Kenneth C. Griffin Museum of Science and Industry after Mr. Griffin donated a whopping $125 million to the museum. That money will go FAR... Just imagine the kind of exhibits they could create with it! So while the city and the museum are grateful for the contribution... I don't expect anyone to call it anything other than MSI! Just like the Sears Tower will always be the Sears Tower!
