Melissa Pointer says she can only describe what happened last March as pure terror. Pointer and her son were driving down I-80 when a car appeared in front of them and began driving erratically. The car would slam on their brakes, putting the Pointer family in danger. When she tried to switch lanes and distance herself from the dangerous driver, he wouldn't let her. The ordeal continued for 20 minutes while the Pointers were essentially held hostage on the highway. Melissa called 911 and was directed to the Tinley Park Police Station.
Police have investigated the incident, but so far Melissa hasn't heard any updates.
