Rescuers found Prudenciano at the bottom of the cliff with serious injuries. “I'm actually holding on, this watch is right at my face and it said, '911 what's your emergency.' And I’m like, ‘Wow, this is an angel,’” he told Inside Edition.
Apple's series four and later watches all have an automatic SOS feature called Fall Detection. It happened to be turned on, so it knew when James fell off the cliff! The watch automatically called 911 and then sent a text to his mom with his exact location.
