Firefighter Returns Family Heirloom That Miraculously Survived Wildfire

Patty Shales and her daughter Blair thought they'd lost everything in the devastating fire that broke out near Los Angeles’ Getty Center Museum nine days ago.

As the massive wildfire approached their home, they ran for their lives. When they were finally able to return to their home, they were devastated to discover that nothing had survived the fire. Their home was completely demolished, and everything inside burned to ash.

As they surveyed the devastation, a firefighter approached Shales with a small box. He found it in the rubble, and asked them if it looked familiar. She said it was the box that held her mother's wedding ring. The ring was untouched by the fire, and was the only thing in the home to survive.
