Bringing a baby into the world is a thrilling experience, but for Camre Curto it changed the course of her life forever. When Camre was around 7 months pregnant, she suffered from an undiagnosed case of preeclampsia. She suffered a grand mal seizure, which resulted in rare and severe brain damage. Doctors put the new mom in a medically induced coma after delivering the baby via c-section. When she awoke, it became clear something was terribly wrong.
Camre had lost all her memories. She had no idea where or who she was. She didn't know she was married, or that she had been pregnant. Making matters worse, Camre was unable to form new memories. But her family refused to give up on her. Her husband and mother worked endlessly to help Camre begin to heal.
