Chicagoland Toddler's Death Remains a Mystery

A Chicagoland child is dead, and officials have no answers for his grieving mother.

2-year-old James died in October, and employees for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office can't pinpoint a cause. James' case currently falls under the category of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. But his mother isn't convinced.

James was in the custody of his father the night he passed away. EMTs report that James was found on his back, with his lips blue. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically he was pronounced dead before his mother was even able to get there.

Now she's hiring a private forensic analyst with the hopes of finding more about her beautiful son's tragic and untimely passing.
