During this time it's so important that we support our healthcare workers, and this is just one of the many things we can do for them!
Starting Monday, Rapid COVID-19 tests are available in the state of Illinois for healthcare workers and first responders who are fighting this pandemic on the front lines. These tests offer results in about five minutes, as opposed to 3-5 days (and sometimes more, caused by backlogs). But symptomatic healthcare workers and those who have been exposed need to know immediately if they have the virus, to make sure they aren't passing it along to more people.
As more of these rapid tests become available they will be used to test those with the highest risk of getting the virus.
