Looting and Police Activity Disrupt Peaceful Protests in Naperville

Dave Savini, a reporter from CBS Chicago, was live on the scene last night as downtown Naperville erupted in chaos, disrupting a day of peaceful protests. The bustling west suburban town saw unrest, looters, and a lot of police activity throughout the night.

Savini described what he witnessed, including looters, just after 10:00 last night at multiple stores along the main street. He watched as a Pandora jewelry store and a Chase bank were looted. Many stores boarded up their windows before nightfall. Naperville was the site of peaceful protests throughout the day on Monday. A curfew was in place at 9pm, which is when witnesses say looting and destructive behaviors began near the riverwalk.
