Black Girls Break Bread is Taking Action to Help Feed Chicago Families

First with the coronavirus and now with looting, it is harder than ever before for some families in Chicago to get food. Many families in Chicago live in what are called "food deserts." A food desert is an area where residents don't have access to healthy, affordable food because due to a lack of nearby grocery stores.

There's a remarkable group of local women who are working every day to make sure families in food deserts across Chicago have access to healthy, fresh foods. Black Girls Break Bread is grocery shopping for families in need, and bringing food right to their doors. From pantry staples to baby food and diapers, they're helping families most in need right now. You can help too! Check out their website here.
