Police in Chicago are searching for the driver involved in a serious hit-and-run crash. The accident took place in the Loop, just after 9 p.m. on Thursday night under the CTA's green line at Lake street and Franklin street.
According to police, the driver of a Hyundai Sonata failed to stop at a red light, striking a Volkswagen Jetta which flipped over, sending the driver of that vehicle to the hospital.
Witnesses say the driver responsible for the crash circled the block and came back to examine the damage before driving away from the scene with its bumper dragging off the back.
