Popular Chain Restaurants Are Suffering During the Pandemic

Some of America’s favorite restaurant chains are in serious jeopardy as the pandemic has robbed them of customers and revenue. According to reports, Outback Steakhouse, Applebee’s, and the Cheesecake Factory have stopped paying rent on some of their locations and are facing the possibility of not being able to pay back their debts. California Pizza Kitchen recently filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. According to Yelp, over 72,000 restaurants all across the country have closed their doors permanently since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, Chicago, Baltimore, and Boston are said to be the next coronavirus hot spots. Chicago has a high transmission rate, and it's vital that all continue social distancing.
