Maren Morris teased her TikTok followers with another snippet of an unreleased anthem on Monday (July 24): “Do you hear that?”
Morris only captioned the post with a tree emoji and a fire emoji, hashtagging “new music” and prompting comments from eager fans, writing: “This just improved my Monday by 500% 😊,” “New album coming? 👀” “WAITING!!,” “Absolutely 🔥🔥🔥,” “I love it already!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰,” “MY EARS NEEEEEEEEED THISSSSSSSS 😍😍😍,” and many more.
Earlier this month, Morris teased another song as she shared a recent live performance of a ballad she has yet to release. Morris’ latest collection of new music will follow last year’s Humble Quest, an 11-track album that included the smash-hit autobiographical single “Circles Around This Town,” “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” “Humble Quest,” “Background Music,” “Nervous,” “Hummingbird” and other tracks. Morris released a 30-minute short film and accompanying album of reimagined versions of severn Humble Quest songs on Humble Quest: In Rare Form late last year.
“‘Humble’ began to feel more like a grounded state of understanding oneself; not so much by being relatable to or understood by all,” Morris previously explained of Humble Quest. “What I also discovered is that the songs I was managing to compose during this time were the most authentic and light lyrics that have ever flowed from my pen. They weren’t fitting with the times, they were distracting and eventually saving me from the times. So, here are the stories of my rises, my overshares, my appreciation of Midwestern guys who stand at least a foot taller than me, my lullabies, my wine-soaked conversations with a dear friend and my final goodbye to one.”
