There are a handful of restaurants scattered throughout Illinois that offer a true food experience, but only one is known far and wide as the best of the best!
This Illinois staple offers such a delicious variety of menu options, that leftovers are unheard of!
According to a list compiled by Yelp, the best restaurant in Illinois is New Village Gastro Pub in Northbrook (22). This restaurant was also named among the best in the country. Other Illinois restaurants named among the top 100 include Lawrence Fish Market in Chicago (54), and Virtue Restaurant in Chicago (71).
Here's what Yelp had to say about compiling the data to discover the absolute best restaurants in America for 2025:
"To determine Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in 2025, Yelp’s data science team starts by using the data generated from our community submissions. We considered both the rating and the volume of the reviews, while accounting for the overall restaurant activity in each business’s area.
