Jana Kramer Opens Up About Meeting Ex-Husband Mike Caussin's New Girlfriend

Jana Kramer opened up about meeting ex-husband Mike Caussin’s new girlfriend for the first time.

The country artist, actress, author and podcast host spoke about the one-on-one meeting she had with her ex’s new partner on the latest episode of Whine Down with Jana Kramer on Monday (April 21). Kramer confirmed to Kristen Brust and Kathryn Woodard, “I met Mike’s girlfriend.”

“I knew he had a girlfriend, and what I basically said was, you know, ‘before she meets the kids, I’d like to’ — because obviously I know this one’s a serious one, so — ‘I’d like to meet her before the kids do,’” Kramer said, noting she showed the same “respect for Mike and Allan [Russell, her husband]. And I was leading up to it — so, she had come into town because she doesn’t live here yet…and I was so nervous.

“And I didn’t know how to work through my feelings of it because it’s such a weird thing,” Kramer shared. She said “the wildest part of it all” is that “I am married with a new baby, and yet, it’s still hard. And I was trying to understand what piece of it is hard. Because it’s just not a natural thing to be going to go meet someone that is about to be around my kids a lot, and I haven’t had experience with that at all.”

Kramer said “out of respect and privacy,” she didn’t share details about the experience meeting Caussin’s girlfriend. She added later, “as long as the kids are happy, that’s literally it. I can get along with anyone, and I want that relationship to be great.”

Kramer, 41, and Caussin, 38, got married in 2015 and finalized their divorce in 2021. They share two children together, daughter Jolie Rae Caussin, 9, and Jace Joseph Caussin, 6. Kramer has since married Scottish former soccer player Russell, 44, and welcomed Baby No. 3 with him, son Roman James Russell, who arrived in November 2023. Kramer married Russell in an intimate wedding at Carnell Estate in Scotland on July 13, 2024; however, she revealed in another episode of Whine Down with Jana Kramer that they were already legally married before then. They kept the secret about their marriage for more than a year.
