Jason Aldean paid tribute to late music legend Brian Wilson, co-founder, musician and primary songwriter of The Beach Boys. Wilson died on Wednesday (June 11), his family confirmed in a statement. He was 82.
âOne of the best musical minds of all time,â Aldean said of Wilson in a post he shared on Instagram on Wednesday evening. âNothing but respect for Brian Wilson and all he showed us. This is one of the actual GOATS of music! â¤ď¸â
Aldean is one of many to share a tribute to the late Beach Boys star, along with Mick Fleetwood, Ringo Starr, Keith Richards, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and others in the classic rock community. Wilsonâs final performance took place July 26, 2022, two years before he was diagnosed with dementia and put in conservatorship.
âWe are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away,â Wilsonâs family shared in a statement on Wednesday. The legendary musicianâs cause of death was not revealed at the time. âWe are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving.
