If you're a one-transponder, two-car household, you could be paying more for cruising through tolls without your I-PASS.
The Illinois tollway directors are looking to impose a 50% transaction fee on those who incur tolls without transponders in their vehicles. To trigger the fee, it would take 10 missed tolls a month per license plate.
