Scientists are looking to pay people $17,000 to lay in bed for 60 days.
Nope, this isn't a joke.. it's all in the name of science!
The Institute of Space Medicine and Physiology (medes) in Toulouse, France is looking for 24 people to do this!
Requirements?
- Physically active
- healthy
- non-smoking
- male
- between 20-45
- body mass index (BMI) between 22 and 27
For 60 days, anyone who participates in the study will have to have at least one shoulder in contact with the bed at all times.
Half of the group will get a specific cocktail of drugs to help counter the effects of weightlessness on the body. "The idea of the study is to reproduce the weightlessness of the International Space Station (ISS)," Dr. Arnaud Beck, told 20 minutes.
