Congress Parkway is to be renamed to avoid a battle with Italian-Americans.
The proposal was originally to rename it to Balbo Drive.
But, now a comprise has been made to have an appropriate street name and it will be re-named to Ida B. Wells Drive.
Ida B. Wells was born into slavery and became a leader in the struggle against racism.
