Thursday's planned anti-violence march is headed for the North Side today and it looks like protesters may be shutting down both northbound and southbound lanes of Lake Shore Drive.
Originally the plan was to only shut down some of the northbound lanes, but now a lead organizer, Tio Hardiman, says they will now march down southbound lanes on their way to Wrigley Field.
Lane closures are estimated to start around 3:45 p.m. and Chicago Police say they will not get involved unless it gets violent.
With Lollapalooza beginning and the Cubs playing at Wrigley Field... this is all to send a message to Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Ultimately hoping for resignation of the city's mayor and police superintendent.
Be prepared for traffic on the way home from work today.
