We're not really sure how we feel about this bu, St. Louis University is officially the first college or university in the country to install Amazon Echo Dots in every single dorm room.
The devices will be programmed and operated by a central system, not the students' personal accounts, and are said to not retain any personal information.
This will not cost the students anything, and they'll be programmed to answer more than 100 specific questions about the campus and student activities that will be available.
Now, if students feel uncomfortable or have privacy concerns with having the Echo Dots present in their rooms, they are apparently allowed to just unplug them and store them away.
