Looks like a group of Aldermen really want to ban horse-drawn carriages in Chicago.
ABC 7 Chicago reports that Aldermen Brenden Reilly, Brian Hopkins and Raymond Lopez are pushing the ban of horse-drawn carriages.
The Aldermen say that the horses have to dodge traffic and pedestrians and it's just becoming unsafe with them working excessive hours in extreme temperatures.
The main reason for the ban though is because of the increase in vehicular traffic. Some say it's kind of like driving through an obstacle course which is just unsafe.
There are several other cities in the country that have already banned carriages as well.
