Parents in Glenview are furious after they say a local childcare center did not tell them about elevated levels of lead in the water for months.
The Open Arms Daycare in Glenview received notice that there were elevated lead levels in the water in their facility all the way back in December of 2018.
However, parents of children who attend the daycare were not notified of the results of the lead test until recently-- June 14, to be exact.
While the sources of the lead-contaminated water were shut down in December, parents say they are concerned about how much their children were exposed to the water prior to December. And ultimately, of course, they had a right to know!
