In 2017, Richard Ragland was enjoying a day outdoors with friends at a Tennessee lake, when tragedy struck. Ragland slipped under the water and drowned. The GoPro he was using throughout the day was never recovered from the bottom of the lake. However, diver Rich Aloha was recently given a tip that the GoPro might be buried at the bottom of the lake still, so he made it his mission to find it. Miraculously, he did!
The device contained footage of Ragland’s final hours. Aloha reached out to Ragland’s family about the footage. He told Inside Edition, “They were just stunned.” He said, “I don’t think there’s ever been a more impactful find.”
