Illinois Farmers Voice Concern for Corn Harvest

Luke Bryan says "Rain is a Good Thing" but here in Illinois farmers are whistling a different tune!

We've had a very soggy summer and early fall, and farmers in Will county are concerned. They say the extra-damp conditions have contributed to a delay in their corn harvest. They say the land is too wet to even consider harvesting- their heavy equipment would get stuck in the mud.

Around two-thirds of Illinois' corn crop is affected by the wet conditions. To date, only 4% of the state's crop has been harvested. Typically by this time at least 30% has been harvested.
