This Couple Is Getting a Sleep Divorce to Save Their Marriage

A New Jersey couple is getting an unusual “divorce.” Liz and Rich Alterman have been happily married for almost 20 years. They have three children and are now on the brink of getting “sleep divorced.”

A sleep divorce is when couples sleep apart. For Liz and Rich, it's due to Rich's snoring. For other couples, a sleep divorce could be caused by a variety of sleep habits like temperature preferences, disagreements about mattress firmness, or sound in the room. But for many couples a sleep divorce can save a marriage!

Quality sleep is important for your mental and physical health, so don't be afraid to give a sleep divorce a try!
