For families all across the country, and all across Chicagoland, this week is when we'll decorate for Christmas! Houses will get decked out in lights and decor to celebrate the season. But you need to make sure you're safe about it!
A South Carolina mail carrier called 911 after discovering a man who had fallen off the roof while he was putting up lights.
Some of the most important safety tips to follow:
- don't try to reach anything that's farther than arm's length away
- don't string together more than three sets of lights
- don't do it alone! Have someone spotting you while you're up on a ladder
