Phew! This little guy must have the most devoted mama on the entire planet!
Like most parents-to-be, Jen and Drew Gobrecht shed tears of joy when Jen's pregnancy test came back positive. It's an exciting moment! But even more so for this couple, who had been told pregnancy would be impossible because of a condition Jen was born with known as MRKH syndrome. MRKH syndrome is a malformation that results in a missing uterus. But the couple became optimistic after applying for a groundbreaking uterus transplant procedure and learning that Jen would be an ideal candidate.
Jen is just the second woman in the country to undergo a uterus transplant.
