Chicagoland Florist Donates Flowers to Patients at Rehab Facility

These days we all need some extra good news! So how about a local company going out of their way to brighten up the rooms at an area rehab facility?

Patients at a DuPage rehabilitation facility have been heartbroken by the effects of the coronavirus. Patients currently aren't allowed to receive visits from family. So local florist company Phillip's Flowers jumped in to save day and raise some spirits! Phillip's Flowers donated a total of 140 bright spring bouquets to the facility, spreading joy and cheer to the patients.

Rehab patient Debra Midgley coordinated the effort, and told CBS Chicago about the difference the flowers made for her fellow residents:

“I have been here for almost six weeks and I haven’t seen them walk and I saw them actually walk to see the big cart of flowers that we were passing along to the residents with staff. They were so excited and the smiles are incredible,” Midgley said.
