Martina McBride kicked off a Christmas tradition for my family and she has no idea.
When my son Liam was 4, we were invited to join Martina on stage during her Christmas show in Chicago. We sat with her on stage and read "Twas The Night Before Christmas" from over sized storybook.
It was such a special moment that we've never missed her Christmas show when she brings it to Chicagoland. When she's not doing this show we still carry on the tradition of gathering the family for a December night out to celebrate the season. We've seen "A Christmas Carol" at the Goodman, Illumination at the Morton Arboretum but we still laugh about the time we watched Chicago Bear (HOF) Brian Urlacher reading "The Grinch" on stage with Martina!
We're all excited because one of the best voices in music is bringing her Joy of Christmas Show back for one night only at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet!
Martina will be here on December 20th and we wouldn't miss it, it's our family tradition.
