Guy Fieri knows quality food. The star hosts Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, currently on its 40th season, and spends much of his time traveling across America in search of the country's best eateries.
In fact, there is one Illinois restaurant that has not only received the TV personalities stamp of approval, but is his favorite place to dine in the entire state.
According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the absolute best restaurant in Illinois is Smoque BBQ in Chicago. This restaurant's delicious, high quality food is the best of the best, at least if Fieri has anything to say about it!

"Set up in 2006, it didn’t take this neighbourhood barbecue joint long to become renowned for its distinct flavours and sensational smoked meat. Smoque BBQ featured on season two of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives back in 2007, and it quickly garnered a loyal following among barbecue devotees across the US. Almost two decades later, it’s still loved for its meat platters, brisket sandwiches and baby ribs. No order is complete without a selection of sides; barbecue beans and cornbread are popular choices."
