Call me old fashioned but I always thought Valentine's Day was about the woman you're in love with? Men have always spent more on V-day because that's how we (I was) were raised! I have never heard of a woman spending more than the man on Valentine's Day in my entire twenty six years on this earth. Now, with that being said, am I planning to spend $339 on the love of my life? Maybe, maybe not (she reads this blog, gotta keep her on her toes), but the real question is, do I expect anything in return? NO. Valentine's Day is about the woman you love. Guys, go all out this year, within reason. Don't go into debt because you spent too much on chocolate, that's not going to be a fun conversation with your accountant. But, whatever you think will make her feel appreciated and loved, double it. That's the golden rule. You can thank me later. @Traceahamilton
