New Music Friday Roundup!

March came in HOT with new music from SO MANY ARTISTS. I've been listening to new songs all day long. Let's break them down.

First up is Thomas Rhett dropping his new single "Look What God Gave Her." Is it country? Ehhhh. You could swap his voice with Adam Levine's and you've got a Maroon 5 song. Is it catchy? Hell yeah it is. It's a stadium anthem and right up TR's alley for his new sound. You could hear it coming from his last album on the songs that weren't singles (Leave Right Now, Smooth Like The Summer, etc.) and it's no surprise they went with the most "Pop" song first seeing as he's going to be on SNL tomorrow night playing this song. My question is, the musical guest usually performs two songs so...any guesses as to what his second performance will be?

Next up, it's not necessarily "new" music but I'm a sucker for stripped down acoustic versions of songs (which you should know by now if you read these things) so here we are. It's a beautiful ballad from Michael Ray titled "Dancing Forever" I honestly could see this being a first dance song at a few weddings this summer. A solid acoustic take on a beautiful song.

Speaking of beautiful acoustic renditions, next up we have Old Dominion! You can really hear the harmonies above the instruments which is always a cool thing. You should know this song by now and if you don't, here's your coffee shop soundtrack version of 'Make It Sweet'. By the way, they're headlining our Windy City Smokeout this summer! Grab those tickets before they're gone!

Alright, this one is more for me than it is for anyone else. It's not country but this song is so damn catchy I couldn't keep it off the list. Jonas Brothers are back together and bringing HEAT. This song is sooo good. It doesn't hurt that the music video features their super hot wives. Huge plus. Video hasn't even been up for a full day and is already closing in on 10million views. Back that Brink's truck up to the JoBros garage and unload. Jesus.

We'll close with this one, Chase Rice teased he's already working on a new album but in the meantime, he released 'Lambs and Lions Worldwide Deluxe' and it features a bunch of extras and this alternate version of his current single 'Eyes On You.' Say what you want about Chase but the guy can write and has a very dedicated core following. I almost like this version better than the original...is that weird?

And that's it! Told you I'd do another one of these! This was an awesome New Music Friday and I'm sure I missed a bunch of things on the list and if I did, let me know about it. @Traceahamilton
