Cascade Drive-In To Close For Good

Well this sucks. I literally grew up down the street from this place. Had a lot of *ahem* firsts in that gravel lot...I distinctly remember smuggling Scooby's hot dogs into the venue and still getting popcorn, candy, and nachos in between films. I remember hopping in the trunks of cars to sneak in because we didn't have enough money to pay for the movie AND get concessions. It was a hang out spot in my youth and it will always be remembered. Drive-Ins aren't common anymore and it's a shame because going to one is truly an experience. Don't get me wrong, I love the new movie theaters we have now, with the leather recliner seats and full service bar and food menu but pulling up to the speakers at Cascade and hooking them on the windows, opening up the trunk of the SUV and watching a movie sitting in a makeshift bed. Sounds like a country song I need to write now. Brb. RIP Cascade Drive-In. You will be missed. - @Traceahamilton
