WGN- LAS VEGAS – Talk about lucky – and on St. Patrick’s Day no less.
According to Hawaii News Now, an unnamed resident of the Aloha State struck it rich at the Plaza Hotel and Casino Sunday in Las Vegas, winning $1,029,529.13 off a penny slot machine.
But that’s not all. The casino reportedly told KNSVthe big winner had hit the jackpot after playing for less than five minutes.
The winning game was Monopoly Millionaire, according to the Plaza Hotel.
Well...good for that person...I guess....I'm trying not to be salty about the situation but this is every gamblers dream, isn't it? You fly into Las Vegas fresh faced and naive and believing you're actually in control of your money and by the end you're on the red eye flight back home still drunk from the night before, sleep deprived and out a few thousand dollars of the safety money that you brought "for emergencies only" and here this person comes and drops maybe $20 in the machine? And absolutely cleans house. I want to feel happy for this individual but as a longtime degenerate gambler and someone who goes to Vegas time after time wishing and hoping for something close to this situation to happen (and it never does)? I can't support being happy for this person at this time. Please give me space to grieve during this situation. Thank you. - @Traceahamilton
