NBC BOSTON - The sexiest -- and least sexy -- accents in the United States have been ranked, and Boston fared surprisingly well.
Ina surveyrun by travel company Big 7 across its 1.5 million social media followers, the Boston accent was ranked the second sexiest in the country.
"One of America’s most imitated and parodied accents, Boston almost comes out on top of the country’s sexiest accents. And yes, just like Mahhhhk Wahlberg, locals really do say 'pahk yuh cahr in hahvuhd yahd'." Big 7 said in its rankings

I'll be honest, I couldn't tell you how most of these accents sound. What the hell is a "Baltimorese" accent?! Or a Virginia Piedmont?? YOOPER? Wtf? Weird. I am, however, happy Chicago made the Top 5. Obviously we weren't going to take the Number One spot (don't really agree with Texan being there but whatever) but I'm glad we made it as close as we did. The other accents ahead of us have been perpetuated through movies and comedy and television, it's no wonder they've topped the list because that's what the rest of the world knows.
