Would You Like Some Wine With Your JJ's Sandwich?...Yes This Is Real...

Crains– Jimmy John’s is making available a limited-release wine online to celebrate its newest sandwich.

The pinot noir, called “Vin de Sandwich,” was designed to pair with the Frenchie sandwich, featuring salami, capicola and provolone.

The wine has “notes of dark raspberry and ripe cherry, and hints of cedar and spice,” Jimmy John’s says in a statement. It’s produced and bottled by The Folk Machine winery in Santa Rosa, Calif., and made with grapes sourced from the Chalone appellation. About 600 bottles were made and they’re available only online for $29.99.

Ehhhhh pass. I get it. The idea is different and we all love our alcohol but the idea of having wine with a "freaky fast" sandwich just doesn't sit right with me. It's like having a top shelf G&T to go with your Big Mac. First of all, we need to talk about the name of the sandwich..."Frenchie" but it comes with two italian meats and an italian cheese. Swing and a miss there. Also, the wine flavor "dark raspberry and ripe cherry with hints of cedar and spice" MISS me with that sh*t. I'm slowly becoming a wine guy and I'll admit I am a little biased because I'm not the biggest fan of red but you could put that description in front of me without context and I'd still tell you it doesn't sound very appealing. Just let me have my large coke or a can of beer with my fast food sandwich just like everyone else. - @Traceahamilton
