(The Hill)–The Air Force gave a word of caution to the thousands of people planning to storm Area 51 in Nevada later this year, warning the UFO enthusiasts that the military “stands ready to protect America and its assets.”
Pressed by The Washington Post on Friday about how officials plan to respond to those who turn up to the Nevada base, Air Force spokeswoman Laura McAndrews declined to elaborate on specific details.
However, she did issue a warning to those who may be serious about a plan to infiltrate the Nevada Air Force base.
“[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces,” McAndrews told the paper.
“The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets,” she added.
Well, well, well, it seems the nut job Facebook group planning to storm the trenches of Area 51 has caught the Government's attention. It was cute when it first started, 120,000 people. Then it grew, almost overnight, to 400,000 strong. As of this blog being published, over one MILLION idiots have potentially signed on to literally run onto a military airbase. Now the Air Force has issued their first (and probably only) warning to anyone who actually thinks this is a good idea.
I don't know if you've ever played Grand Theft Auto before, but military bases are 100% off limits in that game. You set one foot over the restricted line and you have F-16 fighter jets firing missiles and every soldier in the base shooting at you, within seconds. I can't imagine real life would be much different. Such a flex by the Air Force too in how they worded this "We would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces." In other words, if you value your life AT ALL, don't come a knockin'. At some point, Natural Selection needs to do it's thing. Get your popcorn ready, we could be in for a real interesting live feed if this thing actually happens.
