Did y'all watch episode 1???? Hysterical. This isn't a spoiler blog so I won't say anything about but, you need to hop on this NOW.
I mean, what's not to love?! Goodman, McBride, Devine, and...is that Walton Goggins I see?!?! (He's a hell of an actor, I'm sure if you saw him you'd be like "OHH that guy!) I know it's only been one episode but this show looks like it's going to be hilarious. Now, clearly this show is going straight for the gut of the "mega churches", the folks who run them, and their followers. If that's you, don't be offended, just take it with a grain of salt and ENJOY. It's a comedy...calm down.
Like I said, I know it's only been one episode but, I don't see The Gemstones going anywhere but up. HBO doesn't really have a bad show in their lineup. Looking forward to see how far this show goes. I'm hoping it will go more than Danny McBride's last show 'Vice Principals' (which was also hilarious). And that's just it. This show will be hilarious, it will be raunchy BUT it 100% WILL N be for everyone. But, for what it's worth, I think it's worth checking out. The Righteous Gemstones air Sundays at 10pm on HBO.
