(source)–Chicago could be headed for a “polar coaster” this winter, according to winter weather predictions from the Farmers’ Almanac.
“Our extended forecast is calling for yet another freezing, frigid, and frosty winter for two-thirds of the country,” Peter Geiger, editor of the almanac, said in a post on the website.
The worst of that weather is forecasted to rock the northern Plains into the Great Lakes. Other areas, like the Northeast, will also experience colder than normal temperatures for much of the winter, according to the forecast. The final week of January through the beginning of February could see the coldest outbreak of the 2019-2020 winter season.
Welp. Enjoy this weather while you can because according to the Farmer's Almanac, we're Screwed with a capital 'S' once winter decides to show up. No clue what a polar coaster is but it sounds cool. Which means for everyone experiencing it, it's going to SUCK. Remember Polar Vortex? Snowmaggedon? Both super cool titles that could be used as a team name in Dodgeball or Slow pitch softball but NOT when it comes to weather. Excuse me while I go sit outside for the next two months in preparation for whatever the heck this is coming towards us.
