EW - After months of rumors and evading interview questions,Jennifer Lopezhas finally confirmed that she’s going to be the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show performer. But she won’t be taking the stage alone!Shakirawill also join the singer and actor as the halftime show hosts the duo.
TheHustlersstar took to Twitter to tease her new role with a photo of a Shakira, wearing a Pepsi-branded armband and a 02.02.20 ring. The caption simply reads: “This is happening. 02.02.20.” And Shakira returned the favor, sharing a photo of Lopez, with the caption, “Get ready.” The official Pepsi Twitter then confirmed the exciting news with a tweet of its own: “First time together on stage…on the world’s biggest stage. Welcome@JLoand@shakirato#PepsiHalftime#SBLIV.”
This might be the most watched Halftime Show of all time...two HUGE female pop stars, Miami, The Patriots vs...??? Well that's TBD still but we have a show! Jay-Z took over the music side of things this season for the NFL and he's definitely shaking things up. We have little performances literally every primetime game with the "Genesis Halftime Show", which basically is a music video/live performance hybrid of that artist's newest single. Genius idea. Fast forward to week 4(?) in the NFL and we already have an incredible Halftime Show to look forward to. Very excited to see who else these women bring out for the show. Whoever it may be, I just have a hunch that the show is going to be fantASStic. Can't wait.
