LET'S GOOOOOO! Jeopardy has, at least for millenials, come soaring back into popularity in the past year. Not sure why, but I've seen more Jeopardy highlights on my timeline in the last 12 months than I think I have since the internet was invented. Granted that's, in part, thanks to Jeopardy's latest genius James Holzhauer. James collected a cool $2.7 million during his 32 game win streak earlier this year. He is the third highest earning American contestant to play Jeopardy and, thanks to social media, became a celebrity of sorts. Everyone loves James, he's my favorite heading into this historic matchup but...he's going up against two GIANT BRAINS.
First you have Ken Jennings. Jeopardy's second highest earning American contestant AND holder of the longest win streak in Jeopardy history at 74 wins....I'm sure he has more knowledge in his pinky than I do in my entire body. A formidable opponent to say the least.
Lastly, the man himself, Brad Rutter. The highest earning American contestant in Jeopardy history with a whopping $4.8 Million during his time on screen (this is with various tournament wins as well). Also, Rutter has yet to lose to another human being....his only defeat? An IBM Computer platform that played against the contestants in a challenge back in the day. A F*CKING COMPUTER. That's some Terminator type sh*t right there. Brad will for SURE be out for blood this time around.
No matter who you're rooting for, this will be one Episode of Jeopardy you won't want to miss.
