This looks....different. Ford getting into the electric vehicle game. I think they announced an actual electric Ford Mustang GT or something like that but it was for fun and was not intended to be for sale. However, it looks like Ford IS serious with the Mustang Mach-E Electric SUV. Honestly, the price points mentioned don't sound all that bad when you compare it to the Tesla Model X which starts around $80,000. Ford will undercut that price with the GT models starting at about $60,000 (around $43,000 for the base model). If you're looking to make the jump to an electric vehicle, this honestly doesn't seem like a terrible option. Now, obviously, you should get behind the wheel before you drive it, but according to Bill Ford
“I said if any car is going to wear the pony, it can’t just look like a Mustang,” said Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford, great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford. “It’s got to drive like one, it’s got to feel like one, and it has to have the soul of one.” - CNBC
You can configure and reserve your model right now (with a $500 deposit ) by heading to Ford.com, orders will be processed mid 2020 and you should have your brand new electric SUV beginning late 2020.
