“She’s knuckling down, learning the lingo and practicing martial arts to give off the impression she’s tough and to ward off potential bullies,” an insider revealed, noting that Lori, 55, “knows there will be plenty of them in federal prison.”
Yikes. Aunt Becky seems to be thinking prison time might be a reality in her future. She previously pled not guilty to bribing someone $500k to let her two daughters into college. Is this morally wrong? Sure. Ethically? Absolutely. But she's looking at 45 YEARS in prison if she's found guilty on all charges. That seems to be a bit much...She'll pretty much die in prison if that's the case. All for what? Throwing money at a person to make sure her kids got into a school? I feel like that's happening day in and day out at multiple institutions around the country. This particular case just so happens to have a celebrity name attached and here we are. 45 years seems way too excessive for an ACADEMIC BRIBE. This wasn't a bribe for murder or for a senate seat, military operations or for a political campaign...I think everyone needs to calm down.
With that being said, I'm glad Rebecca Donaldson is taking matters into her own hands and learning the lingo and some martial arts moves to ward off "potential bullies". You can never be too careful, I guess...
